My beautiful Nonna Linda

She wasn’t just the one who taught me how to cook—she’s the one who showed me what it means to love through food.She was born in Libya and, together with my Nonno, had to leave everything behind during the Gaddafi regime. They rebuilt their life from nothing, hand in hand. In 2025, they celebrate 63 years of marriage—a lifetime of strength, love, and endless dedication.Nonna had a deep passion for the kitchen, yes—but what she really passed on to me was the magic of the time we shared there. It was the little things:
Letting me roll the gnocchi beside her, handing me the last bit of chocolate cake mix to lick from the spoon, giving me the first slice of pizza fresh out of the oven, telling stories as the sauce simmered slowly on the stove.Those small gestures, those quiet afternoons, those shared smiles—that’s where my passion truly began.
She also loved to make her own centerbe and limoncello, always with pride and a sparkle in her eyes. And alongside Nonno, she spent countless hours fishing—another passion they passed down to me.What I share with you here isn’t just food.
It’s her stories. Our time. That unspoken magic of being together in the kitchen.
